"Nights in Rodanthe” stars Diane Lane as Adrienne Willis, a woman whose life is full of chaos. As she struggles with the conflicts surrounding her – a wayward husband who wants her to come home and a teenaged daughter who despises her – she escapes to the tiny coastal town of Rodanthe, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. While tending to a friend’s inn for the weekend, she hopes to find the tranquility she so desperately needs. Not long after her arrival to the small beach town, a major storm is on its way…along with a mysterious guest. The only guest at the inn, Dr. Paul Flanner (played by Richard Gere) is not there for a relaxing beach getaway; he is there to face his own dilemma – his relationship with his estranged son. With the storm closing in, the two have only each other to turn to for comfort. In one magical weekend, in a tiny coastal town, they begin a life-changing romance that will resonate throughout the rest of their lives. “Waitin’ On A Woman” – Music video by country music mega-star Brad Paisley Country music singer, Brad Paisley, recently enlisted the help of one of the Outer Banks’ most well-known locals – iconic actor Andy Griffith. Andy Griffith was Brad’s first, and only, choice to play lead in this music video. “One of the greatest moments in my career was getting to shoot this video with Andy Griffith and getting to know him,” Paisley said. “I’ll cherish this video and opportunity to become friends with this wonderful and influential man for the rest of my life. Andy was my No. 1 choice for the video. He is the perfect person that embodies wisdom, years, and personality of the character in the video.” And not only does the video feature an iconic Outer Banks resident…but it was also filmed right here on the Outer Banks! The video opens with Brad sitting on a bench at the Tanger Outlet Mall…waiting for Andy to meet him. As Brad croons his romantic lyrics, Andy is seen at various moments throughout his life “waitin’ on a woman.” In the end, Andy is seen sitting on the same bench – this time located on a beautiful tranquil beach. Beaches for which the Outer Banks are known. “Waitin’ on a Woman” will be included on new expanded editions of 5th Gear and the video will debut on country video television stations later this month.
